Digital currencies and the challenge of using them off-line - digital assets are the future, but can they survive without an internet connection? Our dependence on on-line access creates vulnerabilities, so could off-line functionality be the key to long-term viability? Taking digital assets off-line offers a chance to both shield them from cyberattacks and ensure access during outages, but how do we guarantee the security of these off-line assets and what about double-spending? And, can off-line functionalities be universally compatible?
