Introducing the Commissioner for digital money: safeguarding privacy and rights in the age of programmable money - The global race to develop Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) and Stablecoins has quietly created unprecedented challenges across the world. The intrinsic programmability of this money and the oceans of new and valuable centralised data produced daily create chronic as well as acute governance challenges in each and every jurisdiction.
