Microsoft engages with zkSync

It has been a long time coming for zkSync as former Microsoft head of Web3 business and AI, Vassilis Tziokas, partners with zkSync to bring about the “zkSync Era ecosystem”. So, what is the zkSync Era ecosystem? Being a layer 2 protocol, zkSync scales Ethereum’s security and values because of its zero-knowledge cryptography. Zero-knowledge (zk) means transactions and operations can be confirmed between parties without the divulging of confidential information. In turn, this makes ‘zk rollup’ possible allowing for the processing of transactions outside of Ethereum’s standard blockchain (sometimes referred to as the Ethereum Mainet). A significant advantage of using zk is that it enables blockchains to be hyper-scalable, lowers costs of transactions, have high transaction speed, and enable better.
