There is a growing clamour for the need for digital identity as the world we reside in becomes more digital and experiences cyber threats, so acknowledging a recognition to improve security and wrestle back control from global tech providers to individuals. Furthermore, this urgency has led to important developments in digital identity management, especially with the promise of secure, decentralized and effective solutions offered by blockchain technology. Blockchain appears as a light of hope as we struggle with issues such as identity theft and privacy breaches, providing creative ways to protect our digital identities.
